DAY 1 HIGHLIGHT

Arrive & explore

Having arrived in Spain's sunny capital, you’ll get settled at your beautiful four-star hotel before embarking on a tour of downtown Madrid. Enjoy a tapas dinner at Mercado San Miguel, with visits to Madrid's most famous street, Gran Vía, and the ancient Egyptian Temple of Debod along the way.

DAY 2 HIGHLIGHT

Mediterranean masterpieces

In the morning, you’ll travel to Spain’s renowned Prado Museum to see an impressive collection of art including works by Monet, Rembrandt, Matisse, and other artists. Next, hop over to nearby El Retiro Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city boasting hundreds of acres and tens of thousands of trees. Your afternoon is free to explore the city’s spectacular shopping, dining, and attractions.

DAY 3 HIGHLIGHT

The City of Three Cultures

Today you’ll take a trip to Toledo, Spain’s “City of Three Cultures” with a fascinating historic quarter that still preserves its original medieval layout. On a tour through its narrow, winding streets, you’ll discover a series of incredible buildings, like the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, Santo Tomé Church, and Toledo Cathedral. After a group lunch, return to Madrid for a free evening.

Lunch at Els Quatre Gats café, a famous meeting place for modernist artists over the years, will fuel you up for a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas.

DAY 5 HIGHLIGHT

Bird’s eye view

Modernism is the theme of today’s tour, as you appreciate Barcelona’s architecture and art on foot and wind up at the iconic Sagrada Familia. You’ll then travel in a private coach bus to Tibidabo, the tallest peak in Barcelona that offers splendid 360-degree views over the sea, the city, and its suburbs.
